Brently (Brent) W. Free, born in Amarillo, Texas, in 1965, moved to New Braunfels, Texas, in 1976, graduating from New Braunfels High School in1984 and from Texas A & M University in 1988, with a BBA in Accounting. Brent attended St. Mary's School of Law, graduating in 1991 Cum Laude with a Juris Doctorate degree. While at St. Mary's Law School, Brent was on the Dean's List from 1989 through 1991 and was a member of the St. Mary's Law Journal- 1990-1991. He was a member of the Harlan Society in 1991.

Brent was licensed to practice law in 1991 and then began his legal career as an Attorney with the District Counsel's Office of the Internal Revenue Service, handling Tax Court litigation, Bankruptcy Cases and IRS Collection matters. Brent was appointed as a Special Assistant to the United States Attorney's office in 1993 to handle IRS matters in Bankruptcy Court. Brent left Government service in November, 1995 to enter private practice in New Braunfels. He has been a member of Bob R. Kiesling, P.C. since 2004.

Brent is Board Certified-Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and frequently works with Corporations, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and small businesses, in addressing formation issues, operational issues and Federal Tax issues faced by these entities. Estate planning, Trust formation, Probate and Probate Litigation, and Business litigation are also a routine part of Brent's practice. He counsels and assists clients in resolving issues with the Internal Revenue Service, whether through an offer in compromise, installment agreement or litigation in the United States Tax Court.

Brent is married and has two children.
